Slide Plate Valve Product Details

Nov 17, 2025

As a key fluid control device, the slide plate valve is widely used in industrial piping systems, exhibiting excellent performance, especially in conditions requiring frequent opening and closing or regulation of media flow. Its core structure consists of the valve body, sliding valve plate, drive mechanism, and sealing components. The valve body is typically made of high-strength cast steel or stainless steel, possessing good pressure resistance and corrosion resistance, suitable for water, steam, oil, and some corrosive media environments. The sliding valve plate is the core actuator of the slide plate valve, opening and closing the passage through linear reciprocating motion. Compared to traditional rotary valves, it has lower frictional resistance, smoother operation, and almost no pressure loss in the fully open state. Fluid flows in a straight-through manner, effectively reducing turbulence and energy loss. The sealing system often employs a double-sided elastic seal design, utilizing pre-tightening force to ensure the sealing material tightly adheres to the valve plate surface, ensuring reliable bidirectional sealing performance and achieving zero leakage standards. Some high-end models are also equipped with a metal hard seal structure, enabling long-term stable operation in high-temperature, high-pressure, or highly abrasive conditions. The actuation methods cover various forms, including manual, pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic, facilitating integration into automated control systems and meeting the operational needs of different scenarios. In terms of installation structure, slide gate valves generally adopt wafer-type or flange connections, resulting in a compact structure, small footprint, and easy disassembly and maintenance. Due to the relative sliding between the valve plate and seat during opening and closing, high precision and surface treatment of the guide rails are required. Precision-machined guide grooves combined with wear-resistant coating technology are typically used to extend service life. In recent years, with the increasing demands for energy conservation and reliability in industrial systems, the application of slide gate valves in metallurgy, power, chemical, and building materials fields has been continuously deepening, especially in dust-type solid particle media conveying systems, where they exhibit superior anti-clogging performance compared to other types of valves. Through continuous optimization of material selection, sealing structure, and actuation logic, modern slide gate valves have achieved a comprehensive advantage of high cycle life, low maintenance costs, and intelligent control, becoming an indispensable fluid control solution in complex operating conditions.
