Differences Between Electric Actuators Under Different Voltages

Working Principle: An electric actuator is an electrical device that converts input electrical energy into mechanical motion. It uses a motor to drive a rotor, resulting in the rotation or translation of the output shaft. Under different voltages, the motor speed, output torque, and other characteristics of the electric actuator will vary.

 

Differences Between 110V and 220V:

1. Power Difference:

When operating at 110V, the output power of an electric actuator is lower than that operating at 220V, but its speed is correspondingly higher. Therefore, the same electric actuator can handle a lower load when operating at 110V than at 220V.

2. Safety Difference:

Compared to 220V electric actuators, 110V electric actuators have a weaker sense of electric shock, making them more prone to accidents. Therefore, extra caution is required when using them. 220V electric actuators are more suitable for industrial environments.

 

Differences between 24V and 220V

1. Power Supply

24V electric actuators are battery-powered, allowing them to be used in locations without power. 220V electric actuators require a power source to operate.

2. Power Difference

Due to the limited power of batteries, 24V electric actuators have lower output power compared to 220V actuators. However, because smaller motors can easily achieve higher speeds, they remain a viable high-speed power conversion device.

 

Differences between 12V and 24V

1. Power Difference

Similarly, due to the limited power of batteries, 12V electric actuators have a significantly lower load capacity than 24V electric actuators, but their speed is correspondingly higher.

2. Applicable Scenarios

12V electric actuators are mainly used in small mobile robots, toys, and electronic products, while 24V electric actuators are primarily suitable for light industry and household appliances.
