Slurry Control Valve

A slurry control valve is an on-off and throttling valve built specifically for abrasive, high-solids media such as ore slurry, FGD gypsum slurry and coal-gasification grey water. Instead of a rotating ball or eccentric plug, it controls flow through a sliding-plate throttling structure fitted with a tungsten-carbide (hard alloy) sliding-plate sealing pair, the wear surface most exposed to particle erosion. The flow path is straight-through with no pockets, so solids pass without settling and the valve resists clogging. The flow characteristic can be cut into the plate as linear or equal-percentage to suit the loop. The heavy, reinforced casting body covers DN25-DN350 and PN16-PN100 (Class150-600), with WCB, 304, 316L and duplex stainless steel options, and can be fitted with a pneumatic actuator and smart positioner for remote automatic control.

The life of a slurry valve is decided almost entirely by the slide trim, not by the casting, which is why our R&D effort concentrates on the hard-alloy slide-plate pair rather than on standard valve geometry. Our fluid-control lab develops the slide-plate geometry and cutting angles, and the open plate holes can be cut to the customer's required linear or equal-percentage characteristic. This means a buyer does not accept a generic throttling trim: the wear-facing pair and flow curve are matched to the measured particle content and pressure drop of the actual slurry, which is where premature erosion usually starts.

1. Coal-gasification grey water and metallurgy ore slurry

The tungsten-carbide sliding plate absorbs particle erosion that would groove a ball or plug, and the straight-through path keeps high-solids flow from settling into clogging pockets.

2. Power-plant ash handling and FGD desulfurization slurry

The reinforced casting body and heavy sealing pair handle abrasive gypsum and ash slurries at high differential pressure where standard soft-seated valves wear out quickly.

3. Lithium-battery solid-liquid slurry and chemical high-viscosity suspensions

Tthe customizable plate holes (linear / equal-percentage) let the valve be trimmed to fine flow control of dense slurries without binding or packing.

Standard export packing of the valve and trim. Before shipment each valve undergoes 100% pressure testing and we provide the pressure-test video, packing photos, packing list and export customs documents. The goods are tracked through logistics; if a part is damaged on arrival we send a remote repair guide or ship replacement trim immediately.
