Wafer Type Butterfly Valve

A wafer type butterfly valve installs directly between two pipeline flanges and is held in place by the line bolts, with no end flanges of its own. The thin through-body design gives it a compact face-to-face dimension and light weight, cutting both installation space and the support needed on the line. A centerline (concentric) disc rotates a quarter turn on a single stem, so operating torque stays low and opening and closing are fast. The sealing element is a one-piece molded rubber liner, available in EPDM, NBR or PTFE-lined, that wraps the bore and is pressed by the disc to deliver Class VI soft-seat shutoff with bidirectional sealing at low pressure. The straight, unobstructed flow path offers low resistance with no pocket where water or sediment can collect. It can be driven by a lever handle, gear operator, pneumatic actuator or electric actuator, and the rubber liner can be replaced without lifting the whole valve out of the line.

Buyers select wafer butterfly valves in volume for water and HVAC projects where order-to-order consistency and delivery reliability matter more than exotic configuration. We keep standard centerline discs and molded liners in regular stock in common ductile-iron and stainless-steel sizes, and run disc machining and liner press-in on dedicated CNC and robotic assembly lines. This keeps seating torque and shutoff performance repeatable batch after batch, and lets stocked bodies ship within about ten days for standard working conditions.

Municipal water supply and wastewater mains.

The lightweight wafer body clamps between standard pipe flanges, the EPDM or NBR liner gives reliable shutoff on untreated water, and the pocket-free bore keeps sediment from building up in buried and above-ground lines.

HVAC chilled and hot water circulation.

The centerline disc needs low torque and opens in a quarter turn, the EPDM liner handles circulating water up to 120 C, and the actuator-ready stem lets the valve integrate into building-management control systems.

General industrial on-off duty such as fire-protection water, irrigation and clean chemical lines.

Bidirectional sealing lets the valve block flow from either direction, and the in-line replaceable liner shortens maintenance without dismantling the piping.

All valves are packed for standard export shipment. Before dispatch every valve undergoes 100% air and water pressure testing; we share pressure-test videos, packing photos and the packing list with the customer, and complete customs documentation is prepared for export orders.
